Membership

The alliance membership is ideal for individuals and organisations committed to FOSS and social innovation. That is, the membership is for givers who have the skills and resources to provide FOSS technology services in the form of tech consultancy, products, innovation, and implementation, or for peripheral activities such as capacity building via training and workshops. It is also ideal for philanthropic institutions aiming to build technological capacity in their beneficiary organisations.

Criteria:

Official membership is dependent on the following broad criteria:

  • Primary activities of the member should be FOSS-centric.

  • Meaningful participation in OASIS meetings, workshops, and events.

  • If the member has a specific role (for instance, a FOSS technology vendor), then adhere to the framework and principles laid out by OASIS.

Why become an alliance member?

  • Access to a network of like-minded organizations and individuals with a shared mission of social development.

  • For service providers, access to a novel customer base in the form of social sector organisations seeking technology services.

  • New technology product and service opportunities at the same time creating social impact.
